An experienced or progressing and enthusiastic Marine Systems Technician is required to join our high-performing and successful fitout and installations team
With a growing range of custom and innovative boats, an opportunity is now available within our high performing fitout team as a marine systems technician.
About the Role:
The fitout team consists of a variety of highly-skilled tradespeople, able to expertly fitout boats and deliver a first-class customer experience.
As a marine systems technician at Dickey Boats, you will be:
- Fitting and installing marine systems and electronics
- Working with and understanding ancillary marine systems (eg generators, water makers, drive lines, steering systems)
- Working within a small, successful team to deliver exceptional finished boats
- Working to system drawings and diagrams
You will be working with a lead boat builder committed to supporting you in our processes to deliver first-class results on every project.

This role would equally suit someone with relevant experience looking for a new challenge or a candidate working towards a qualification.
The following skills and experience are highly desirable:
- Recognised qualification in marine systems or you could be working towards this.
- Experience in marine electrical or mechanical installations or refits
- Excellent general finishing abilities and a craftsperson’s eye for detail
- Pride in your work environment, and quality workmanship
An obsession for the quality of your craftmanship will help you feel at home at Dickey Boats, as will a passion for the marine environment.
Candidates will need to demonstrate behaviours aligned with the company brand and workplace values.
Previous Backgrounds:
Ideally you will have a background of similar work within the marine industry, however the right candidate may come from one of the following industries:
- Vehicle and/or campervan automotive electronics and equipment installation
- Aircraft electronics and equipment installation
- Bespoke home or building systems installation
