With lots of exciting things going on at Dickey Boats and 30% planned growth in operations and R and D, we are looking for a key person to join our small leadership team and provide expert support and direction to our workshop operations and our people.
About the Role:
Working within, and accountable to, the leadership team, this role will grow to play a pivotal role in the day to day running of our business.
To feel successful in this role you will have strong project/operational management skills, specifically in a similar manufacturing environment. This includes confidence and success with scheduling and software, continuous improvement, logistics, procedure and process management/QCs, and Health and Safety.

You will need to understand the numbers and value them as one of your tools for measuring success. Feeling comfortable looking at a PnL, understanding operational performance measures, running OPEX budgets and confidently assessing investment (big or small) opportunities and needs.

Some specific criteria:
Proven leadership in an operational role – a confident and capable leader
Project management in a multi-faceted manufacturing environment
Significant boat building or marine experience would be advantageous
Systems expertise – scheduling software, Microsoft 365, Excel, stock inventory management, ERP
Tenacious, energetic, resilient, and calm under pressure
