This is an opportunity for an experienced boatbuilder or aluminium welder/fabricator to take a vital position in one of New Zealand’s most progressive and respected custom boat builders.
About the Role:
Hull strength and integrity are vital to the offshore capabilities of our celebrated craft. The fabrication team is responsible for delivering the quality-controlled construction standard of every Dickey boat.
You will have variety every week. The builds are months long and every stage of the build offers something different.
During our sea-trialling procedure, you will have opportunities to experience first-hand the on-water capabilities of the completed vessel ready for handover. Wesee this as essential to understanding the role that structural integrity plays in our acclaimed blue-water performance.
About the candidate:
The following skills and experience are highly desirable:
· A qualification in alloy boat building or relevant experience/trade
· Aluminium welding and fabrication experience
· Pride in your work environment and exceptional craftsmanship
· Positive attitude and respect for awesome teamwork
· Ability to work with vigilance and help problem-solve on new builds
Physical fitness is a prerequisite for the role. An enthusiasm for boats and the marine environment will contribute significantly to your success at Dickey Boats.
