Industry leader Dickey Boats seeks an upholstery professional within our growing team of high performing marine interior boat builders.

About the role:

The marine interiors team comprises of highly skilled tradespeople specialising in cabinetry, soft liners, and upholstery, together contributing to delivering an outstanding and award-winning interior finish.

As an Upholsterer, there will be an immediate opportunity to add value to our boats by working in the following areas:

  • Construction and installation of foam-backed liners, panelling, and trims
  • Working with vinyl, leathers, and various fabrics and threads
  • Single and double-needle sewing machines
  • Creating various foam shapes and textures
  • Develop seating and squab solutions

Being physically fit and working in a planned and organised manner within a small team are prerequisites for the role.  

Candidates will require organisational skills and creative thinking aligned with the company brand and workplace values.

You will succeed in our small team and ideally, be trade qualified.

Physical fitness and excellent general finishing work with people dedicated to quality and craftsmanship, delivering first-class vessels exceeding abilities are prerequisites for this role. An enthusiasm for boats and the marine environment will contribute significantly to your success at Dickey Boats.

You may have experience in different industries such as furniture making, sailmaking, auto trimming, or as a custom canvas producer.
